South Dakota Rural Enterprise has chosen Rey Gonzales, former training director and business consultant with the South Dakota Small Business Development Center, as its new Vice President of Business Development.
Gonzales will act as the Program Developer and Chief Financial Officer for the statewide development organization serving development corporations, revolving loan funds and communities throughout the state. His responsibilities will include developing and implementing new business lines and planning for existing business lines serving the community and economic development industry in South Dakota, as well as conducting industry and trend analysis and managing internal financial controls.
An MBA graduate of the University of South Dakota, Gonzales is certified in a wide range of business development skills. He has taught courses in QuickBooks, Measurable Management, WorldClass Workforce and NxLevel ENTRE. In addition to his work with the SD Small Business Development Center, he was a business banker at MetaBank Sioux Falls and a credit operations analyst for Wells Fargo Financial.
“Rey has exactly the skill set to enhance the services South Dakota Rural Enterprise brings to our constituency,” said President Beth Davis. “His interaction with communities and volunteers throughout South Dakota will help us focus on making the economy of our state stronger.” |
